Hiring the Hall

Garway Village Hall is available for hire, either the whole building or individual areas or rooms at very reasonable rates

HOW TO HIRE FOR AN EVENT

  • To hire a space at the hall please check availability by clicking on the button above first and then contact us by email at hires@garwayhall.org

  • You will then be sent a link to our Hallmaster booking system where you will be asked to verify your email address and set up a password

  • Click on 'request a booking' and complete the online form

  • Please read and accept the terms & conditions of hire and the emergency action plan before submitting the form. The person making the booking will be the responsible person for the hire

  • A volunteer will then check the booking and the confirmation will be emailed back to you

  • Tables, chairs and standard equipment are included in the hire fee, see about the hall page for a full inventory

  • ​Sound system, PA system, truss mounted projector and stage are all available for hire with an additional charge and depending on the equipment, instruction on its correct use will be required

  • If you have not used the hall before you will be invited to have a short tour prior to your event to show you the full facilities, how to access and close the hall and answer any of your questions

  • For evening parties you are offered 2 free hours set up time prior to the party and 2 free hours clear up time the following morning

  • Payment for the event, including damage deposit where applicable, will be due 7 days prior to the event - you will be sent an invoice 14 days prior to the event that shows our bank details for making online payment 

  • Hire times are between between 09.00 and 23.55

  • Please take rubbish that can't fit in the bins away with you at the end of hire. The green bin can be used for recycling plastic bottles, glass bottles, cans, cardboard & paper. The black bin is for general waste.  Please do not overfill the bins

  • If you are running a bar to sell alcohol, hirers need to apply for a TEN (temporary event notice) from Herefordshire County Council

  • If you are using a third party provider (eg. bouncy castle, caterers etc) they will need to be able to show their relevant insurance and health & safety documentation on request

HOW TO HIRE AS A REGULAR USER

  • To hire the hall on a regular basis (eg. for class, course or treatment service) please contact us by email at hires@garwayhall.org

  • Your provision will be assessed to check that there are no conflicts of interests

  • If you wish to book the Outreach Room for providing a 1:1 consultation, tuition or treatment session you will need to be able to provide your relevant insurance certificate if applicable

  • Invoices are sent at the end of the month for the bookings that have taken place that month and payment will be due within 7 days. The invoice shows our bank details for making online payment
